The Asian Student Association, a newly formed club at Springfield Township High School, “provides a place for Asian students in our school to share and celebrate their diverse cultural backgrounds and heritage,” says co-founder Andrew Lam. He believes that this club can bring together Asian students and give them a safe space to talk.

The main goals for this new club are “to increase cultural awareness and understanding across our school, organize events and celebrations relating to Asian culture, and provide students with a sense of community in our school,” mentions another co-founder, Cody Natali.

Cody goes on to say that by promoting the club, “we can celebrate all kinds of peoples traditions and cultures, increase school-wide awareness of Asian culture,” which is crucial so that people can gain knowledge of another culture’s traditions.

This new club is a perfect place for people of the Asian community to have a group of people to talk to and meet new people.
