Hi, my name is Evan Freiman. I have a disability, and I am going to attend The Ohio State University to study photojournalism and photography.
Photography has been a huge part of my life for the last five years. When I first started, I was nervous and still learning, but I kept practicing and never gave up.

Over time, photography became more than just taking pictures to me. It became a way to tell stories, capture emotions, and show people moments they might never forget. It also helped me build confidence in myself and prove that I can accomplish my goals.
Having a disability has not stopped me from chasing my dream. There were times when things were difficult, but I keep pushing myself to improve every day. I learned that success does not come from being perfect. It comes from hard work, passion, and believing in yourself, even when things are challenging.
My dream is not only to become a great photographer and photojournalist, but also to help inspire other people with disabilities. I want them to know that they can try photography too and see if they love it the way I do. I want to help teach them, work with teachers, and show them that they are capable of learning new skills and doing amazing things.
Photography gives people a voice without needing to say words. One picture can tell a powerful story. I want people with disabilities to feel proud of who they are and confident in what they can achieve. I want them to understand that they should never give up on themselves or their dreams, no matter what challenges they face.
Everyone learns differently, and everyone grows at their own pace. That is okay. The important thing is to keep trying, keep learning, and keep getting better every day. I hope my story can inspire others to follow their passions, work hard, and believe that anything is possible.
No matter what disability or obstacle someone may have, they can still succeed, make an impact, and achieve great things in life.
