Springfield Township High School’s Boys Soccer team, led by Senior Captains Benjamin Hubley, Chase Rubincam, and Kayden Sowell, had a well-rounded season this year, finishing with a final record of 14-3-3. Due to their success in recent years, being 2x state finalists, the team was moved to the highest division, 4A. Despite being against challenging teams, the team finished the regular season with only one loss. Unfortunately, the team did not qualify for states due to losses during the playoffs. Despite this defeat, the team still did well, with Hubley expressing “[he’s] proud of the team for being the first ever Springfield soccer team in 4A.” Both the coaches and athletes are grateful for everyone who supported the team, with coach Dan Meder claiming “[they] couldn’t have done it without [the fans].”
