Favorite Treats
As we get older and closer to adulthood, the trick-or-treating tradition ends, but our love for candy does not. Even if it’s not Halloween, everyone can enjoy a piece of candy here and there as a treat. Some enjoy rich chocolates, and some of those who love sweet candy. From juicy Starbursts to nutty Reese’s Pieces, we asked the members of the Spartan Community what their favorite sweet treat is on Halloween. Reese’s Cups were a clear favorite among Springfield’s students, with Kit Kats coming in as a near second; Twizzlers and Starbursts were not seen as popular.
Favorite Horror Movies
On the day of Halloween, instead of our usual trick-or-treating, we resort to watching scary movies. Though some get spooked, others love a good fright, especially on the night of Halloween. Even those who are afraid can find watching scary movies with their friends a good tradition for this eerie night. For those who enjoy horror movies in our community, we asked which of the top ten horror movies in America they love the most. While we had many mixed responses, Ghostbusters, IT, and Scream were the top three, leaving the rest in the minority.
